FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about MaxCtrl

MaxCtrl software can interface to a variety of hardware options:

  1. CM11A 2-Way X-10 interface.
  2. TW523 2-Way X-10 interface
  3. MaxIR 2-Way IR interface
  4. Analog/Digital expansion chassis
  5. Any Voice Modem that is TAPI compliant

You only pay one price for the MaxCtrl software no matter what hardware you want to use.  Originally, MaxCtrl used the TW523 2-Way X-10 interface.  The current version also uses the CM11A 2-Way X-10 interface which is slightly more expensive than the TW523 but is more reliable and reduces the work of the PC's CPU.
